In Arizona, electrical contractors are licensed by the Registrar of Contractors (ROC). An R-11 Electrical license allows the licensee to install and repair residential electrical systems. (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors)

A C-11 Electrical license covers wiring, electrical material and equipment for generating, transmitting or using electrical energy under 600 volts, including all wiring in or on any building under 600 volts, but not work in public rights of way. (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors)

A CR-11 Electrical (dual) license allows the scopes of both the commercial C-11 and residential R-11 licenses. (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors)

Alarm, phone, sound, intercom, TV and video systems, low voltage signaling and low voltage landscape lighting up to 91 volts fall under R-67 Low Voltage Communication Systems. (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors)

Applicants for CR-11, C-11 and R-11 may take the NASCLA Electrical Examination instead of the AZ ROC trade exam; the fee is $116. The license belongs to the business, not the qualifying party. (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors) (source: Arizona Registrar of Contractors)
